Air Conditioning
Although lots of people are excited when the weather starts to warm up in the spring after a long, cold winter, that excitement begins to wane when things start getting hot and humid in the dog days of summer. Sipping cool drinks, staying in the shade, and taking a dip in the pool can help, but sometimes your body just needs a break in a comfortably air-conditioned home.
If you live in Emmett, you know how uncomfortable and even potentially dangerous extremely hot weather can get. Our professional team at Quality Heating & Cooling wants to be sure you have a reliable, working air conditioning system throughout the summer to keep you and your family safe and comfortable.
Most air conditioning systems have an average life of at least eight to 10 years, with many well-maintained systems lasting longer than that. As a result, investing in an air conditioning unit can be a wise investment and being sure it’s well maintained throughout the years is an even wiser one.
Our heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) professionals are well versed in all major makes and models and can help you choose the best air conditioning system for your home. In addition, we are happy to come out to inspect and clean your air conditioner to ensure it is ready for the summer, and we provide repair services if you happen to have problems during the warm months here in Idaho.

Air Ducts
Do you have a mystery in your home? Perhaps your house never feels quite comfortable in terms of its temperature even if your heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system is in good repair. Or maybe your family suffers many allergies or respiratory issues. Or perhaps you notice odd noises inside your walls occasionally. Your mystery may be related to air duct issues.
It might be time to have your ductwork system in your Emmett home inspected to see if leaks or lack of insulation may be causing your problems. All of us at Quality Heating & Cooling know that ductwork is not the first thing you think of when you are facing an HVAC issue; however, it is a vital part of your home’s heating and cooling system and often overlooked and neglected. In some cases, registers are placed in odd locations in a home, which can cause uneven cooling and heating distribution. This is something our professionals can easily address.
Most air duct systems have leaks if they are not properly sealed. These small gaps or cracks can result in hundreds of dollars in lost energy every year for your Idaho home. By inviting in our air duct sealing professionals, you will start recouping your costs immediately. In many homes, uninsulated ducts can also result in energy loss, and our team can help you identify and remedy that problem as well.

Ductless Systems
Many heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) options are available on the market today. Different offerings can meet varying homeowners’ needs here in Idaho. One lesser known option is a ductless system. Ductless systems are not part of a more traditional HVAC system, which allows you to customize the climate of particular areas of your home.
Our trained professionals at Quality Heating & Cooling can help you determine what heating and cooling situations may benefit from a ductless system. Common scenarios include heating or cooling a rarely used space like a guest bedroom or sunroom, as well as helping family members who prefer different temperatures stay comfortable.
Ductless systems are more expensive at the outset, but they can result in lower energy bills due to the fact the heated and cooled air does not have to travel through a ductwork system. In addition, only a very small hole is required for installation to connect the indoor and outdoor units, which means no leakage around the unit.
Call Quality Heating & Cooling at 208-377-3555 to learn more about ductless units and how they can supply or supplement your home’s heating and cooling requirements. Request ductless system service online today.
Furnaces
When fall rolls around, be sure you have your winter heating system on your mind. You can save a lot of stress if you ensure your existing furnace is ready and waiting for the cold weather in Idaho. If you are happy with your current furnace, be sure you schedule a maintenance visit that includes an inspection, cleaning, or tune-up.
If you are ready for a new furnace, take the time to talk with our Quality Heating & Cooling professionals about selecting the best furnace for your needs. Many makes and models are available to suit just about any home size, budget, and desired features.
Our expert team can help you size your furnace so it fits the size, design, and building material of your Emmett home as well as your local climate. We can also go over features such as variable speeds, air filtration, and zone heating. Our goal is to match you with the best furnace for your home and budget.
Buying a new furnace can be a significant investment, but remember that all new furnaces will be more energy efficient than old ones. Gas Fireplaces
Here at Quality Heating & Cooling, we understand the value of viewing your Idaho home’s heating and cooling system as more than a simple system. Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems can be much more than that. They can be part of creating a certain ambience in your living spaces.
And the easiest example of how this can happen is by using a gas fireplace. These fireplaces add heat in a visually stunning way to your Emmett home, no matter where they are. Unlike traditional wood fireplaces, gas fireplaces require less maintenance and less upkeep. No chimneys to sweep or wood to split.
Unlike disappointing models in the past that weakly sputtered blue flames over log imitations, the gas fireplaces of today are highly realistic models that range from old-school styles to sleek, futuristic works of art. Not only will they look amazing, but they will also provide an extra boost of heat for your home.
More practically speaking, gas fireplaces are comparatively simple to set up, easy to maintain, and provide most of the benefits you want from a fireplace.
If you have been looking for some way to add a little extra flair to your home or you can’t wait to move ahead on your dreams of a flickering fire, call Quality Heating & Cooling today at 208-377-3555 . Request gas fireplace service online today.
Geothermal Heat Pumps
If you are concerned about energy waste, carbon impact, air quality, noise issues, or you just would like to save more money over time, a residential geothermal heat pump may be the answer to your heating and cooling needs.
While a geothermal system is definitely not inexpensive to install, it is one of the most cost-effective ways to heat and cool your home on a steady, reliable basis. Because it works in tandem with nature, a geothermal heating and cooling system uses less fossil fuels, does not require as much maintenance as traditional heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, and can cost less over the long run than other ways of heating and cooling your home.
Depending on the model, geothermal pumps may also be able to take on the task of supplying your Idaho home with hot water at a much lower price than a separate system offers. Geothermal energy is very flexible.
It’s also worth noting that these systems can last for generations and may be eligible for federal and local grants. Check out the available programs promoting geothermal furnaces in Emmett and see what you may qualify for from the government.
The best way to find out if your home is able to take advantage of a geothermal HVAC system is to contact our professionals at Quality Heating & Cooling—give us a call at 208-377-3555. Request geothermal heat pump service online today.
Heat Pumps
Developments in heat pump technology have accelerated in recent years. When heat pumps were first introduced, they were nearly all air-source models and only a viable heating and cooling option in moderate climates. However, many more heat pump options are available today for Idaho homeowners.
Our team at Quality Heating & Cooling can provide more details about all the heat pump options available on the market for you. Here is a brief description of current offerings:
- Air-source heat pumps move heat between the inside of your home and the outdoors, depending on the season. The heat is pushed inside during winter and outside during summer.
- High-efficiency heat pumps have excellent dehumidification capabilities for hot and humid climates.
- Mini split heat pumps are designed to work well in ductless homes.
- Split-system heat pump with built-in second stage heating, such as a furnace backup, provides more reliable heat in extra cold climates.
Since heat pumps do not need to burn fuel to create heat, your energy costs are generally a fraction of what you might pay for conventional heating services. As a result, they can save you money and reduce your overall energy consumption.
To learn more about any of these types of heat pumps, call Quality Heating & Cooling at 208-377-3555 . We would be happy to provide additional information about heat pumps for your Emmett home. Request heat pump service online today.
Home Automation
Whether you’re coming home from another stressful day at work at your Emmett, Idaho, job or from a long summer getaway, it’s nice to return to a “smart” house—a home that can, in part, take care of itself.
Home automation technology is continually working to make your life easier. Because of home automation, we no longer have to get out of our cars to open our garages, remind ourselves to turn off our alarms on the weekends, or remember to turn the thermostat down when we leave the house.
However, home automation isn’t just about making everyday life more convenient. Although integration of home automation technology with your heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system can definitely help to reduce your involvement with the management of your home, it will also help you save valuable resources.
When your smart HVAC system adjusts the temperature of a room based on your location, or allows you to control the temperature of your home from a remote location, it helps you save energy by better allocating it to the correct spots. It’ll save you time, and will create one less thing you need to stress about.
If saving money and time sounds appealing to you, don’t hesitate to contact Quality Heating & Cooling at 208-377-3555. Our trained professionals would love to help you create a plan to integrate home automation technology into your HVAC system, or answer any potential questions you might have. Indoor Air Quality
Breathing is something we all take for granted but is absolutely vital to our existence moment to moment. Here in Emmett, most of us stay indoors nearly all the time, so the quality of the indoor air we breathe should be important to us. Our team at Quality Heating & Cooling wants to help you be sure your indoor air quality is safe and healthy.
In nearly all indoor environments, dust, off-gassing from paints and carpets, and other pollutants are present in the air we breathe. Sometimes smoke and pet dander can be added to the mix. In most heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, an air filter can remove some of these pollutants. Some Idaho homeowners may choose to have a high-efficiency HEPA (high-efficiency particulate air) filter to remove even smaller particulates.
Indoor air quality problems may result in discomfort for you and your family or, in some cases, chronic long-term health issues like allergies and asthma. When you have one of our professionals come out and test your indoor air quality, you may discover areas that require remediation. New filtration systems, air purifiers, duct cleaning services, and other solutions may improve your situation.
Call our professionals at Quality Heating & Cooling. Our number is 208-377-3555 and our trained experts are standing by to help remedy poor indoor air quality issues. Request indoor air quality service online today.
Maintenance
Just like your car requires regular oil changes and tire rotations to keep it running smoothly, your heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system will work much better if you take care of it on a regular basis. The professionals at Quality Heating & Cooling recommend a biannual maintenance checkup to keep your Emmett home comfortable year-round.
The best times to schedule an HVAC maintenance service call are during the spring and fall. These are the seasons when your furnace and air conditioner are probably not in full operation yet, which means they are the perfect times to get them ready for the hot summer or cold winter. In addition, these are the seasons when HVAC professionals are not constantly under the gun with emergency service calls, which allows them to provide excellent service at an affordable price.
When you call your HVAC team in Idaho, you’ll be getting a complete maintenance package that includes a thorough inspection, cleaning and tune-up. That means all your components will be lubricated, tightened and checked for wear and potential malfunction. In the long-run, this inexpensive service call may save you an expensive emergency repair call, reduce your energy bills, and lengthen the life of your system.
To learn more about our HVAC maintenance services, contact Quality Heating & Cooling at 208-377-3555 . Our team is ready to schedule an appointment for you at your convenience. Request HVAC maintenance service online today.
Water Heaters
Water heaters are a system in your Idaho home you may not think about until they don’t work when you need them. Whether this is in the form of a cold water surge in the shower or in the dishwasher not working, it is usually always highly inconvenient. In most cases, the fault lies with your water heater. What options are available today?
Tank water heaters are most commonly used, cheaper than their alternatives, and fairly straightforward. However, these are also typically the units that may cause the majority of the problems you may associate with hot water heaters.
Tankless water heaters, while more expensive initially, do have some significant benefits in the long run. They provide hot water specifically when you need it—on demand— and are generally more energy efficient than their counterparts.
Regardless of the type of water heater you choose for your Emmett home, our Quality Heating & Cooling professional team members are ready and waiting for you. Whether you need a replacement, new installation, repair, or maintenance—give us a call at 208-377-3555. Request water heater service online today.
Zone Control Systems
Imagine waking up in the morning in a nice, cozy bedroom and getting ready in a warm bathroom. As you head downstairs for your morning cup of coffee, your heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system lowers the upstairs temperature until just before bedtime while the kitchen is comfortable for the next hour. Once you head out the door, the entire house goes into energy-conservation mode while you are away.
That’s a very real scenario for Emmett homeowners who have invested in zone control systems. One of the newer types of HVAC technologies available, zone control systems feature multiple thermostats that manage temperatures in various areas of your home. When heating or cooling is called for, a set of dampers automatically opens and closes to redirect your cooling or heating to the calling zone.
In the past, managing this task may have required physically opening and closing vents, which can damage a conventional HVAC system if doing so restricts air circulation too heavily.
Our Quality Heating & Cooling trained experts can tell you all about zone control systems and how they can benefit your Idaho home.
Call Quality Heating & Cooling at 208-377-3555 to see if zone control systems might be a good fit for you. Request zone control system service online today.
“Jose has been visiting us twice a year since we had our HVAC gutted and replaced some 5 years ago. He is always professional, friendly, and super knowledgeable (plus his backpack is super cool). A+++ consistently at every visit!”
“I called with an issue on my carrier gas furnace. Erik, the service manager was able to walk me thru a fairly easy maintenance item to get me up and running again. I am out of the normal service area my furnace would not stay running. Had to select Emmett just because my local is not listed. Thank you Erik!”
“Jose was great… I’m very happy with this experience.”
“JOSE IS TOP NOTCH PLUS PLUS. GREAT TECH. I HOPE ONE DAY HE ASPIRES TO HAVE HIS OWN HVAC BUSINESS. REALLY LIKE THE PRE ARRIVAL NOTICE WITH PICTURE OF TECHNICIAN.”
“Jose is always professional and very personable. It is always very thorough in checking out our system and explaining his findings. I have full trust in him.”
“This is a trustable, reliable, and professional company. Our furnace finally went out after 21 years of service – with their sticker still on the faceplate. I called Friday (late night). First thing Saturday morning, I had the pleasure of speaking with Kevin who knew exactly what went wrong. I’m no expert with furnaces, but even I understood what he was talking about. Due to our first-impressions, we also asked about replacing our old setup (heat-pump was 21 years old and water heater was well beyond warranty). These guys completely installed a new furnace, coil, water heater, heat-pump, and thermostat within (no joke) two days. They also made sure we did not go without hot water.
As mentioned above, Kevin returned my call promptly the next day (Saturday). I ended up sending him pictures as some questions I couldn’t answer, and he was quick with being able to determine our furnace failure. We had options by end of day Saturday in terms of getting the furnace fixed and back to operating condition, or replacing it due to its age. Never once did we feel like we were being pushed into a sale or feel like we were being talked down to. This is a family owned business and everyone with the company is very friendly and professional. That small town feel is exactly what we felt and we felt like the company really recognized our needs and how we felt about being without heat.
Having a reliable furnace to get us through another 15 years or so was really important to us. We also wanted something reasonably affordable and installed by licensed and reputable installers. We also wanted to know we could count on Quality Heating and Cooling down the road should the unexpected happen or if we want to add things like a humidifier. Kevin is a vet with this kind of thing (and Aaron is a rock star!) with determining our equipment failure and appropriate resolution, providing multiple options on compatible products, and explaining in in a way that’s understandable (technical jargon as it’s place, and they explained everything clearly to us).
We wish we could give them more than 5 stars, so we’ll instead state that we rate them A+. They were very professional (excellent), they were fast at executing and installing after we made our decision (they installed a new furnace, coil, water heater, and heat-pump in TWO days!), excellent product offerings (superior performance and efficiency), and reputable (BBB reports A+ Rating).
Both Kevin and Aaron are seasoned individuals. I could tell they care about their work and doing not a great job – but a superior job. I could not imagine a scenario where anyone would be disappointed or frustrated with these guys – if you need a company you can trust, depend on, and want that family-oriented friendlies and professionalism, I can definitely attest they did all of that and then some with our family.
Thank you Quality Heating and Air Conditioning for your amazing work!”
